RLC Orchard: Africa Mission Trip in October 2012

Orchard: Africa is a non-profit organization restoring hope to the vulnerable by creating sustainable change in rural African villages.  Our model helps communities that are vulnerable move beyond just daily survival. Orchard: Africa works with local church and tribal leaders, who are the foundation of every rural village, to bring stability to the community. We then train, mentor and fund the local Pastors to ensure ongoing growth & sustainability of the projects implemented.

"You cannot have a healthy nation without healthy children. When a child begins to be fed, loved and empowered the child begins to hope. They begin to believe the reality that God cares for them and that they have a divine calling and purpose in their generation."  Pastor Chad Moore - Sun Valley Church, AZ
"It truly is exciting to see what God can do when we have committed people who have a love for Jesus and the ability to blend together all of the resources in a way that is not only Christ centered but effective as well."  Pastor Garman, La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, Arizona

In the fall of 2012, RLC teamed up with Orchard:Africa and sent a team to Mafeking, South Africia.  On this service mission, the team put on a VBS for the local children, visited schools, clinics and villages and distributed supplies, hygiene kits and quilts.
