How did you come to know Christ? I grew up in a Christian family and “knew” all the right things, but my relationship with Christ really began in my 20’s when a pastor at my home church challenged me. Not only did he challenge what I thought I knew, but he also answered a thousand questions. He helped me identify my call to ordained ministry.
How did you come to Resurrection? My wife Barb and I joined RLC in 1998 when I was on leave from a ministry call. I assisted on various ministry tasks at the request of Pastor John. I was called to serve as pastor in 2006.
What do you do at Resurrection? I coordinate small group ministry. I am privileged to work with an awesome team of leaders in Junior High ministry. I get to help lead F.R.O.G. camp and bring-a-friend camps for our 3rd-6th graders. I am blessed to preach the gospel, teach Bible study and help coordinate worship.
What’s your favorite thing about your job? There are many things I love about what I do but my favorite is that I have the privilege of walking with people of all ages on their faith journeys. And I get to see the power of God working in their lives.
Tell us about your family. My parents have both died but I have a brother who lives here in Arizona. My wife Barb is amazing and incredibly supportive. We have four 4-legged kids. I have 5 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law plus 12 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.
