How did you come to know Christ?
I grew up in the church, but I didn’t really start to take my relationship with Jesus seriously until I started college. It was there that I came to really know Him as my Savior and Lord.
How did you come to Resurrection?
My family came to Resurrection in 2001, when I was seven years old. I started serving in the music ministry in 2007 and I joined the staff as a worship leader in 2014. My first job out of high school was here at our preschool! Although my role has changed over the years, I have loved serving in various ministries here at RLC.
What do you do at Resurrection?
I wear a few hats here at the church. I lead our worship ministry, which includes leading the worship teams for Sunday services and overseeing the technology team. I also have the privilege of coming alongside families to help equip their children with biblical knowledge and instill a desire in them for a genuine relationship with Jesus! I get to manage the church's website and social media, lead chapel at RLC's preschool, and I serve as a volunteer with our youth ministry.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
On the practical side of it, I love seeing things come together. There's almost nothing better than when a project gets completed and I can cross it off my "to-do" list! I love getting to see children and youth grow in their faith, their understanding of scripture, and their relationship with God. I also love leading worship and seeing the ways that technology can be used in service to our community.
Tell us about your family.
I met my husband, Dylan in 2020 and we were married in February 2021. On a lot of Sundays, you can find him serving in the tech booth during services. The Lord blessed me beyond what I deserve in bringing us together! We have two daughters, Blaise and Naomi. I'm also grateful to serve at RLC alongside my mom who is involved in the worship ministry and my youngest sister who serves on the tech team and works at the preschool.
