Retreat to the pines with your RLC family and put the busyness of life on hold for a weekend. We will cook for you, provide you with family-centered fun, and offer you space and time to refocus on what is most important: reconnecting with your family and growing together in Christ.
WHEN? August 23 – August 25… Start the new school year on a solid foundation focused upon your faith and your family. Before the games, performances, practices, parties, and activities spiral your schedule out of control, commit to a weekend where you and your family come first. Drive up on Friday at your leisure, unpack, settle in, and unplug! Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep before waking up Saturday in the beautiful pines where you can look forward to a day of FAMILY FIRST fun. You will be fed - mind, body, and soul -throughout the weekend before returning to the valley Sunday after morning worship.
WHERE? Camp Pinerock, located just outside of Prescott, will be our sanctuary in the pines for the weekend. This location was chosen not only because it is a refuge from the Phoenix heat but it is often the location for many camps RLC kids enjoy through the year. Become familiar with the rooms, food, campus, and amenities that you child may also enjoy during his/her own future camping adventure with friends!
WHY? Life offers so many distractions that priorities become confused. Let us remove some of those distractions and bring you back to the basics. At RLC’s inaugural FAMILY FIRST Retreat discover or rediscover your relationship with your family and with God. Also, connect with other families at RLC who understand that days can be long but years are so short. It takes a village to raise a healthy family, and you have a village waiting for you here.
WHO? Pastor Matt Robards and Anita Elco will be leading the FAMILY FIRST Retreat and all families are welcome! Rest assured in knowing that you will not feel over-programmed; there are options for families with older children and younger children that allow everyone family time as well as time to worship and to meet and connect with new friends.
